Pizza Recipes for Kids

We all know that kids love pizza—mine sure do! But it's fun to use the flavors they love in easy recipes that work to make-ahead and pack for lunch. Or just to vary how we're serving a favorite food.

This list has my favorites, plus my go-to dough recipe, so you have lots of options to consider.

1. Pizza Toast

I love this so much that I often make it just for me! Lightly toast bread, then spread on a little pizza sauce and shredded mozzarella. Place onto a pie plate or baking sheet and pop under the broiler set on High on a rack about 4-6 inches away and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Serve with cut up fruit for an easy toddler meal.

Be sure to grease your pan well and roll the dough up fairly tightly around the fillings for best results. (But it's okay if they don't look perfect when they go into the pan!)

6. Pizza Pockets with Broccoli

Whether you're looking for a healthy make-ahead dinner for the whole family or a new way to serve up veggies to the kids, these Homemade Pizza Pockets with Broccoli and Cheese are a delish option. They are a super fun way to change up how you usually serve pizza AND are easier to make than you might think.

Pizza Pockets with Broccoli and Cheese

If you're using Homemade Pizza Dough, make it at least an hour before you plan to assemble the pockets. If using store-bought, let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes so it's not super cold when you try to form the pockets.

english muffin pizza with clementine

10. English Muffin Pizza

With just three ingredients, this short-cut pizza is a super simple meal option. We like to do it with whole grain English Muffins, but any work. And you can do pizza sauce or pesto, depending on what your kids like. Cut up for younger kids to make them a little easier to chew.

Spread a little pizza sauce onto two halves of an English muffin. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Add any other pizza toppings you like. Bake in a 400 degree F oven for about 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted and warmed through.
